TCS (performance in response to For Your Eyes Only)
In collaboration with Yasmine Nasser Diaz, the collective TCS (Téa Devereaux, Simrin Player, and Chryssa Hadjis) created an original dance piece in response to Nasser Diaz’s installation, For Your Eyes Only. The performance was set to the FYEO soundtrack composed by Carol Abi Ghanem.

The G—RAY Area by Ava Ansari
Ava Ansari conducted three unique performances within my installation, For Your Eyes Only, at the University of Michigan’s Institute for the Humanities Gallery. Intended to activate the space, the performances bring to life the installation by further exploring the positioning of the body and the viewer. Both the exhibition and the performances were designed to be viewed from the window of the gallery.
Ava Ansari is a transmedia poet, transcultural curator, and yogi (She/They). Ava is the Founding Director of Poetic Societies Global Network for the Somatic, Sonic, and Scenic Liberation in Detroit. This project was supported by a grant from the Efroymson Family Fund.

Sleepwalking Towards The Exit
Akina Cox and Yasmine Diaz
In the spring of 2018, Los Angeles based artists Akina Cox and Yasmine Diaz met through mutual friends and shortly after exchanged studio visits. They soon discovered that they shared several uncommon but significant experiences; childhoods socially and religiously conservative communities, arranged marriages, and long-term estrangement from their families.
They continued the conversation over email and turned their correspondence into a small self-published book.
